Our Electrical Technicians are responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems which includes UPS systems, central air handling units, exhaust systems, steam systems and air compressors at a world class chemical sciences research campus. Duties include Knowledge of working in a 480-volt industrial environment. Troubleshooting frequency drives, PLCs and motor control plus all aspects of monitoring, routine and emergency response. This position will be an integral member of the team to manage the daily, routine, and emergency operation of the facility to ensure 100% uptime of all systems. Experience with Siemens and/or Honeywell building automation systems is a plus. Knowledge of frequency drives and 4-20 or 0-10 control a plus as well as the ability to install, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
On-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. A qualified candidate must have experience troubleshooting and repairing common commercial building electrical equipment, reading technical training manuals and following procedures.
Qualifications:
- Two-year degree or equivalent related work experience in an industrial electrical environment.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Required to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals.
- Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and lift heavy objects weighting up to 50 lbs.
