We are looking for a versatile Purchasing Manager to join our Wilsonville Oregon team!
Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000 annually depending on experience
Hours of Work: Monday- Friday 8a-5p
FLSA Status: Exempt
What you will be doing:
- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function.
- Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports.
- Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service both foreign and domestic.
- Designs, implements, manages, and monitors procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
- Manage subordinate employees in the Purchasing.
- Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team of personnel
- Build, develop, and manage operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operation strategies and improving employee relations.
- Provide clear direction, set performance goals, and foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and employee development.
- Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.
- Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols.
- Assists with start-up, development, and growth of new branches as needed.
- Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
- Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for supplies and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
- Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of storeroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment.
- Managing just in time inventory of both raw material and supply related materials.
- Assigns procurement requests to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Oversees all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity.
- Covey technical and material information to Sales and Estimating.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support in customer interactions.
- Understand customer requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs and expectations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Purchasing, Business Administration, or a related field. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle to make deliveries.
- Experience in glass fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on Purchasing Department Management is preferred.
- Proven track records in sales, business development, and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of purchasing regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in using purchasing software tools for tracking, inventory management, and quality control.
- Exceptional analytical and financial management.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, employment regulations, financial reports, legal documents, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports, correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings, including the ability to respond to questions from employees, managers, clients and government entities.
- Ability to work with balance sheets, profit/loss statements, financial statements and reports.
- Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
