Location: Round Rock, Texas (travel required within 40-60 miles of ATX area)

Job Type: Full-Time / Project-Based

Job Overview:

CCS Construction Staffing is seeking highly skilled Sheet Metal Technicians / HVAC Duct Installers for ongoing commercial work based in Round Rock, TX and surrounding areas (Downtown Austin, Bastrop, Lakeway, Killeen, Kyle, etc.). This role is best suited for mechanic-level tradespeople capable of handling complex duct installations with minimal supervision. Candidates must be willing to travel within a 40-60 mile radius depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ductwork Installation: Measure, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal duct systems according to blueprints and specifications

• Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and construction plans

• Fabrication: Use tools such as plasma cutters, brakes, and shears to cut and shape duct components

• Sealing and Insulating: Apply sealants and insulation to ensure airtight, energy-efficient ductwork

• Jobsite Versatility: Install hangers, supports, and accessories; adapt to different project sites and conditions

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic / HVAC Duct Installer

• Must bring appropriate hand tools and wear full PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, vest, gloves, boots)

• Willingness to travel across multiple job sites within 40-60 miles of Austin

• OSHA 10 preferred, but not required

• Some projects may require background checks or drug testing depending on site policy
