Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Welder for our 2nd shift to assist in the assembly of custom steel window and door frames. In this role, you'll work from technical drawings to weld flat bars and fabricate components using MIG and stick welding techniques. You'll also operate metalworking tools and machinery such as band saws, cold saws, and grinders.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld flat bars to steel frames using MIG and stick welding processes (fillet and partial pen welds).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and shop orders.
- Set up and operate saws, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Perform grinding, arc gouging, and flame cutting as needed.
- Secure workpieces using clamps and position them for welding.
- Ensure safety standards and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 6 months welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of shop math and ability to measure to 1/32".
- Ability to pass OSHA welding test.
- Able to maintain a production efficiency rating of 70% or higher and error rate below 5%.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to work with limited supervision and contribute to a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Must have good visual acuity for precision work

Hourly + Shift differential for 2nd shift
