The Position:
We are looking for positive, energetic Equipment Operators for project work, with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Must be experienced Medium Equipment Operators on all Dirt Equipment.
Applicants should have the ability to:
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with established guidelines
- Capable of Operating and Certifying on all Dirt Equipment such as Excavators, Mini-Excavators, Front End Loaders, Vibrating Drum Rollers, Forklifts, etc.
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely manner
- Interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be
- May be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working areas
- May assist in lifting, positioning and securing materials and work pieces
- Assist the Motorized Equipment Coordinator in developing, executing and maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program for the company fleet and other motorized equipment and make recommendations to the Motorized Equipment Coordinator and Services Manager.
- Perform daily inspections on equipment prior to using on the jobsite
- Observes load hook up and determine safety of
- Manipulates crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal or signal
- Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
- Inspects all equipment for defective parts, documents and notifies the supervisor of all defects or issues
- Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
- Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools
- May be required to interpret load
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess valid driver license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Driver's Check
- Forklift Operator Experience
- NCCER/NCCCO Operator Certifications is a Plus
- OSHA 10 or Current Safety Essentials
- Minimum 4 years' craft specific experience
- Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
- Ability to successfully complete onboarding and safety training.
