Position Overview: The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for planning, scheduling, employee oversite, and management of industrial and electrical construction projects up to $10M in value. They will assist Project Managers in coordinating activities of employees engaged in construction process, utilizing knowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee field specific activities for industrial construction \ Maintenance projects from setup to closeout related to the industries that Industrial Construction serves energy, power, mining, food and beverage, manufacturing, pharma, etc.
  • Responsible for recruiting, managing and leading teams of craft employees for all Loenbro scopes of work: civil, mechanical, and structural activities.
  • Supervises the daily work of employees.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work product.
  • Responsible for ensuring all safety and environmental requirements are met.
  • Coordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project Manager and other Loenbro companies to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Generates 3 week look ahead schedules to ensure labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and all resources are scheduled appropriately.
  • Assures all employees within the team know and follow the company safety and work rules and policies.
  • Ensure that all employees within the department receive the proper training required for them to operate the equipment they will be working on and with.
  • Assigns work and monitors job costs and overall performance.
  • Completes written reports on job processes, cost and other matters as requested.
  • Supports planning of on-the-job training to team members to ensure the safety and quality of the work being done. Constantly monitors the job site for safety and quality of the work.
  • Work closely with all areas of the operations to create new opportunities for Loenbro.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction and electrical industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Completion of OSHA or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
  • Driver's license with a clean driving record.

Essential Requirements:

  • May require occasional travel to various project sites.
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time for required tasks.
  • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
  • Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • use of respirator if position requires.
  • If driving is required, a valid driver's license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search and must be 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures, outside majority of the time.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
  • Use of respirator if position requires.
