Introduction

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Minerals Grinding business unit team. You will be responsible electrical activities to maintain a safe, efficient, and accurate Test Center environment. The Electrical Technician will be required to perform a wide range of tasks around the facility. Primary activities include test equipment repair, new equipment construction, facilities equipment maintenance, and safety initiatives. Will also work closely with engineering and technician teams to plan and execute complex test programs.

In this position, you will report to the Test Center Manager.

This position is located in York, PA (US) and although the role does not require any travel or forecasted to have any travel, you may be asked to travel up to 10%.

What you'll do:

Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate Test Center equipment.

Troubleshoot and maintain facilities equipment (air compressors, fans, dust collectors, HVAC).

Install, improve, and maintain power distribution and SCADA instrumentation.

Size and select motors and electrical drives for Test Center equipment.

Utilize carpentry, mechanical, and welding skills for construction and repairs.

Build equipment to improve accuracy, efficiency, and safety.

Assist with the setting up of Test Center equipment and circuits (crushing, grinding, etc.).

Assist with rapid prototyping during development projects.

Provide input for process improvement and communicate with the team.

Conduct physical property tests on mineral samples and perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Applicable engineering or technology degree and/or relevant certifications

5 years Electrical Technician

Electrical power distribution, motor wiring, instrumentation wiring experience required

Welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair experience is preferred

Siemens SCADA experience is plus

Essential Physical Job Functions and Work Environment:

Regularly required to remain in a stationary position, position self around equipment, operate equipment, and communicate with team members.

Regularly required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolds, mobile equipment.

Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.

Must have the ability to manipulate 60lb buckets onto test equipment at a height from 1-4 ft and remove onto a skid or hand truck for transportation.

Must be able to observe testing equipment and identify required adjustments.
