The MGG Glazier 1 Apprenticeship Program is a 2-year, state-certified certificate program. Apprentices will learn this critical construction trade from experienced master glaziers through a combination of classroom instruction and real-world field work. Participants will all be paired with an experienced mentor and can expect to develop skill in custom metal fabrication, commercial aluminum door and window installation, site safety, commercial construction communications, reading architectural plans and specs, heavy equipment operation, and architectural hardware installation and troubleshooting.
At the successful completion of the program, all apprentices will have received:
Journeyman Certificate signed by the Governor of Kansas (fully transferrable)
State-Issued Journeyman Card (fully transferrable)
Equipment Operator's Certification Card
OSHA 10 Certification
Competitive pay starting day 1 with increases throughout the program
Experience and Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation
