Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Industrial Electrician to support the electrical systems and infrastructure within our manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring minimal downtime, safe operations, and continuous production by maintaining and troubleshooting high-voltage and control systems across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and industrial equipment in accordance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on production equipment including motors, drives, control panels, lighting, and PLC-based systems.
Interpret and work from blues, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspections on manufacturing machinery and facility systems.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
Ensure safe work practices andpliance with OH&S, NFPA, and plant-specific safety standards.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns during production.
Document work performed, parts used, and system modifications in maintenance logs or CMMS.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid and current Industrial Electrician certification/license (e.g., Red Seal or applicable provincial/state license).
Minimum 3-5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems including 3-phase power, VFDs, HMIs, motor controls, and instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures, arc flash safety, and electrical troubleshooting best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Basicputer skills and experience with maintenance software is an asset.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
Requires standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
PPE required (e.g., safety boots, gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection).
May include shift work, overtime, or on-call responsibilities.
Pay Details: $42.00 per hour
