In your role, you will:
Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request
Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
Adhere to General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures
Participate in 5-S activities
Perform work in a safe and timely manner
Assist with additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work as needed
Clean aircraft as required
Travel on international assignments if required
Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed
Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed
How to thrive in this role?
You typically have 0 - 2 years interiors experience (i.e., previous wood finish and soft goods experience (i.e., auto, RV, boat, etc.))
You have experience on corporate jets (preferred)
You have Basic PC skills
Ability to disassemble cabinets, remove hardware, and work with intricate details
Skilled in stripping finishes using heat and scrapers
Experience with sanding and preparing raw veneer and hardwood for finishing, including repairing defects
Knowledge of stain and paint application on new veneers
Experience with spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats
Skilled in aircraft touch-up and repair
Ability to mask and unmask components for finishing processes
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and work with mechanical engineering drawings
Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting on individual and aircraft status
