T**he Village of St. Paris in Champaign County Ohio is seeking a general laborer to perform a variety of tasks, and operate a variety of equipment in the operation, repair, and maintenance of Village Streets and Parks Department. This is a hands-on position that requires heavy lifting, working outdoors despite the weather and working with all other departments in various environments. ** **Minimum Requirements: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, and experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair of streets, experience in park and land maintenance, ability to operate various types of equipment including but not limited to; backhoe, dump truck, snow plow, mowers all types of hand tools and many more, ability to work safely and alone; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public; ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions; ability to respond to after-hours emergency calls within a reasonably short period of time on weeknights and during weekends; ability to assist in any man-made or natural disaster; or any other situation involving the Village. ** **Special Requirements: Valid State Driver's License; CDL certification Class B or higher preferred.
