SUMMARY At H. J. Russell & Company, we believe safety is the fundamental to every project's success. We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Project Manager who is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned to achieve safe, timely and profitable completion of each project. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES i ncludes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for making technical decisions regarding installation of electrical work. Responsible for all financial reporting, tracking, and projection of cashflows, job expenses, and change orders for the electrical subcontractors. Manage electrical documentation provided by document control and subcontractors to ensure documents are complete, current, and approved. Review monthly subcontractor billings for completeness and adherence to contract. Provide actualized schedules to the scheduler and work to improve workflows based upon overall project progress. Review shop drawings for constructability and adherence to contract. Write and respond to RFIs as required to keep the project on track. Work with procurement teams to eliminate scope gaps. Ensure matrix of subcontracts provides a complete project and administer the electrically focused subcontracts. Work with procurement, doc control, and PM team to manage change orders from subs and change requests from the customer. Track deliveries to jobsite and keep counterpart site management team updated on installation. Work with Safety to ensure all requirements are met including heavy lifts and LOTO. Work with the Cx team to ensure all installation requirements are met along with Cx support needs. Monitor electrical subcontractor(s)' progress and ensure they maintain the installation schedule. Write various reports as needed for customer reporting, internal reporting, etc. Perform work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to do the same. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 7 years in the industrial construction industry with a CM (focused on electrical) or electrical engineering degree, 12 years without a degree with a journeyman certification plus electrical PM experience of at least 4 years on industrial projects. Utility (substation) construction, industrial construction, data center construction, or industrial electrical construction background required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple demands from PM team, site supervision team, and customer Knowledge of typical PM software. Experience working as a PM with an electrical contractor on industrial projects a plus. Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls. Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence. Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License). While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to construction site hazards, occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
