Concrete Finisher Job Description We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team, focusing on utility and commercial site construction projects. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience and be capable of operating independently from the start. This role involves working on large-scale projects, with responsibilities including site layout, form construction, pouring, and site cleaning. Responsibilities Prepare formwork by setting up and aligning forms to ensure proper depth, pitch, and dimensions. Mix, pour, and spread concrete in specified proportions. Smooth and fine-grade concrete surfaces using hand and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. Apply sealants, hardeners, and decorative finishes to concrete surfaces. Cut expansion joints and patch any imperfections. Monitor weather conditions and adjust techniques accordingly to ensure proper curing. Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 10 certification. Experience with commercial and industrial construction, including flatwork and formwork. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work is conducted 100% outdoors, withstanding various weather conditions including rain, snow, cold, heat, and wind, provided they are not hazardous. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional Saturday work and up to 20 hours of overtime per week. Team sizes range from 1-2 up to 10, and candidates will report to a foreman or project superintendent. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
