Job Title: Consultant, Construction Management Location: 30 N LaSalle St., #4200, Chicago, IL 60602 Duties: Conduct field investigation with architects and senior engineers to assess building systems including paved parking lots. Assemble field assessment notes to prepare investigation reports for internal reviews. Edit client master specification sections to meet design project requirements. Coordinate with architects and senior disciplines to perform internal quality control and ensure their comments are incorporated into final design project set (specifications and drawings). Responsible for assembling final design documents to issue to the client. Conduct field visits to review construction installations and document observations in field observation reports with photographs, and issue to the client. Review construction schedule and progress and notify both client and contactor to take actions when construction is behind schedule. Review and process contractors' periodic payments. Salary $91,000/year. Standard corporate benefits. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related plus two (2) years' experience as a Principle Architect, Senior Architect, or related. Experience must include: project management of multi-purpose buildings from inception to completion including coordination of all professionals, designs, construction, and processes; using Autocad and Revit for architectural design of buildings, ensuring strict compliance with applicable building codes; coordinating approval processes for professional designs and development with approving government agencies; and using Torchmate to design metal and process through plasma cutter to finished product including cutting, deburring, sandblasting, welding, and spray painting of metals.
