What you’ll do as a Yard Laborer
- All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment
- Assists the Inventory Specialist with staging materials for specific jobs
- Assists the Inventory Specialist with maintaining location’s inventory, reconciling physical inventory and offloading/loading trucks
- Tracks, receives and verifies new material shipments and coordinates handling and storage as it arrives
- Maintains organization of inventory
- Maintains a clean and orderly shop and yard area
- Assists with inventory counts
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies
- All other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply reasoning ability and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Knowledge of Internet software, database, spreadsheet and word processing software
Must maintain a current DOT health card certificate
Forklift certification
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
Class A drivers license preferred
Travel may be required

- Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
- Be in a frequently loud environment.
Pay Range $21 - $25 Hr.
