Painter-Journeyman

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Plant Operations (MPO), this position is responsible for applications of various types of interior and exterior finishes in a hospital environment. Performs all painting in a professional and cost effective manner.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS(Minimum Requirements) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Completed approved painters' apprenticeship and holds a Journeyman's card.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the hospital.
• Ability to clearly see objects at a distance as well as close up to perform the job.
• Ability to give and take verbal communications.
• Must be alert and able to concentrate on work.
• Ability to give and take verbal communications.
• Provide compassionate, quality health services for employees, physicians and customers.
• Completed approved painters' apprenticeship and holds a Journeyman's card.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required
• Completed approved painters' apprenticeship
• 4 Painter Required
