Are you a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant construction projects? Our client, a leading general contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects, from initial concept to final bid submission.

salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
- Organize and schedule leads from the office.
- Evaluate project plans to understand upcoming appointments and bidding.
- Perform site visits with potential clients to inspect construction sites.
- Follow up with potential clients via email and maintain open communication on plan/estimate turnaround.
- Send detailed bid requests to subcontractors and vendors, including necessary plans and scope of work.
- Obtain and review multiple quotes for each trade, selecting the best offers.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for optimal pricing.
- Manage and organize bids/proposals in designated folders.
- Prepare detailed estimates and scopes of work for review by the owner.
- Follow up with potential clients to review and adjust proposals as needed.
- Provide finalized scope of work, estimates, plans, and project timelines to the office manager for contract preparation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors for necessary estimating information.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Research and source pricing for materials and subcontractor services.
- Develop comprehensive project proposals outlining scope, timeline, and costs.
- Take measurements of spaces as required.
- Review and negotiate proposals with clients.
- Provide ongoing support to project managers during construction.
