Job Title: Architectural Designer

Location: St. Petersburg, Florida or Clearwater, Florida

Reporting Schedule: In-office required 4 days a week, work-from-home Fridays

Annual Compensation: $70,000

About the job

The Architectural Designer has a strong passion for architecture and design, with the ability to translate ideas into innovative, functional, and visually compelling spaces. You will work closely with architects, engineers, designers, construction managers, and clients to develop designs from concept through to construction documentation.

Primary responsibilities

  • Creation of schematic design documents
  • Integration of schematic designs into design development documents
  • Creation of 3D modeling using Chief Architect
  • Creation of full construction drawings
  • Coordinating work with consulting engineers and trade partners
  • Routine client-facing meetings
  • Interacting with appropriate government permitting agencies
  • Working within the team to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to construction
  • Working cross-departmentally with interior designers, project managers, and other stakeholders
  • Assisting in construction observation work at construction sites
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and background

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture preferred, will accept additional work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of architectural design experience
  • 2+ years of AutoCAD experience. Chief Architect experience is preferred
  • 1+ years of experience working in a professional office
  • Experience working in Google Workspace or similar software

  • Possesses a team-first mentality with an upbeat and optimistic attitude.
  • Ability to work from the St. Petersburg or Clearwater office.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate client and project needs, as well as team members and projects in multiple time zones.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically without restrictions up to 15% of the year.
  • Ability to stand, flex, crouch, and lift up to 25 lbs on occasion
