*This is a full-time travel position - out of state based on project needs*

Responsibilities: The Drill Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating drilling and heavy equipment to install infrastructure (e.g., fiber conduit, utility poles, foundations) according to project specifications. They ensure equipment is properly maintained, site safety is upheld, and productivity goals are achieved.
- Operate drilling and heavy construction equipment (such as horizontal drills, augers, mini-excavators, backhoes, etc.).
- Perform site preparation and setup activities.
- Drill, bore, trench, or excavate to install utility infrastructure.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Support loading and transport of equipment between job sites.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid drivers license with a driving record that meets the companys minimum safety standards. CDL license is preferred.
- At least 1 3 years experience operating drilling equipment and/or heavy construction equipment.
- Proficient in Internet-related applications such as email and web browsers.
- Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and locate maps.
- Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, in confined spaces, and at heights when necessary (e.g., bucket trucks, ladders).
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to work.
- Completion of OSHA 10 cerification is preferred.
Schedule:
- Regularly scheduled to work 40 hours a week.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed in addition to regular travel. As part of your job duties, you may be required to travel depending on the project needs. When work is slower in your market, there may be an occasion that you would be asked to travel to another market location to help with the workload either in state or out of state.
