NUCLEAR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Job Type. Full-time LOCATION: Janesville, WI ON-SITE RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED No Third Party Companies/Candidates will be considered Description Client is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will have ownership in all phases of electrical design, coordination with other internal engineering groups (I&C, Process, Nuclear, Structural, etc.), procurement of equipment, commissioning, and start-up. Based on experience level of the candidate, this role could be hired as a senior level role. Duties and Responsibilities: Specific duties and responsibilities include of the Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans to support the design, new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting and operation of the medical isotope production facility.
- Work with Procurement organization to procure equipment
- Monitor and provide guidance to contract engineers and engineers of record for the normal electric power supply system
- Provide support to Construction by processing requests for information, engineering change requests, work packages, and reviewing document submittals
- Work with electrical inspectors (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to assure compliance of client electrical systems
- Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering
- 5+ year s experience in designing low voltage power engineering duties
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE standards, and IEC standards
- Experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, panels, and panel design
- Experience in electrical design meeting NRC regulatory requirements
- Professional engineering license with the ability to obtain a Wisconsin professional engineering license
- Proficiency in Electrical Design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks electrical
- ability to obtain a Wisconsin professional engineering license
- Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems preferably Allen-Bradley
- Greenfield Experience from design through construction and startup
