Construction Takeoff Estimator

Strittmatter Contracting, LLC. is an established and growing site development/excavation company located in Northern Virginia focused on both commercial and multi-residential projects. The Estimator position is the ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate who majored in either Engineering, Construction Management, or has equivalent experience.

Responsibilities include:

• The role assists in preparing bids packages and cost estimates for proposals. Some requirements include:
• General understanding of earth and site excavation
• General understanding of geotechnical properties of soil
• General understanding of cost estimating
• Some hands on experience with excavation/site development
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (must be able to travel to and physically walk job sites)
• Knowledge of structural engineering

Estimator qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mastery of Microsoft Office
• Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Knowledge and use of CAD Software and blue beam
