PART TIME possible FULL TIME
We are seeking a skilled Aluminum Welder. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely. Knowledge of different types of metal and their properties is essential. We are looking for a welder who is very experienced with welding aluminum.
Daily Duties (include but not limited to):
- - Must know How to weld aluminum up to thick with spool gun.
-- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Operate the appropriate equipment to cut and join metals.
- Read and interpret drawings, written directions, or verbal instructions.
- Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using suitable welding techniques (aluminum and steel).
- Follow and adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings, take measurements, and plan layouts and procedures.
- Determine the correct welding equipment or methods based on job requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Use angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces into position.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to detect any flaws.
- Maintain equipment in a safe and operational condition.
Proven experience as a welder
Experience using various welding equipment and procedures (e.g., TIG, MMA, etc.)
Proficiency in using electrical or manual tools (e.g., squares, calipers)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to wear protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and dexterity
Proficiency in English
Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program or
Professional Certification (e.g., AWS welding certificate) is a plus
