The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Franchise Market & Store Development Manager. In this role, you will make a difference analytically and strategically in identifying and developing franchised markets across the U.S. and Canada. You will identify DMAs, including recommending the proper number of stores to develop. Working with franchisees and internal leadership, you will help gain alignment on development goals, setting contracts, executing, and monitoring/reporting progress on commitments.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Strategic support of new franchise systems: you will serve as a conduit between franchisees and internal pre-construction/construction teams in developing new store areas.
  • Quarterly Development Agreement Scorecard and Monthly Store Pipeline Meetings: determine how best to add value to these meetings, the proper actions to be taken based on productivity of store development, and most productive internal and external cadence for reporting
  • Store Development Portal: drive continual development and full adoption of the portal within our CRM, allowing greater visibility to real-time information within the store pipeline
  • Development Agreements: support 'whitespace' opportunities and additional franchise growth initiatives by aligning on territories, store requirements, and the creation and execution of agreements
  • Real Estate Analytics: partner with Real Estate team to bring insights and tools to support franchise growth

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Experience: 8+ years in market and store development within a franchised or related business
  • Willing to be registered within the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)
  • Knowledge/Skills:
  • Strong strategic and analytic skills
  • Durable relationship-building and maintenance skills among external and internal customers
  • CRM experience required, Zoho experience preferred
  • Use and integrate analytic tools in creation of efficient and effective workflows
  • General franchise disclosure process knowledge preferred
