Job Description This role involves overseeing and managing all construction operations on-site, ensuring effective administration, supervision, and technical management. The position requires direct supervision of assistants, subcontractors, and other construction-related personnel, with a focus on timely project completion, adherence to plans and specifications, quality assurance, and safety measures. Responsibilities
- Ensure timely project completion through project scheduling and coordination, expediting material deliveries.
- Responsible for all site activities including plan and specification adherence, quality of work, safety, and overall coordination.
- Assist Project Management and Preconstruction with the development of the initial CPM schedule and maintain the project Three Week Look Ahead Schedule.
- Develop, control, maintain, and enforce a project site logistics plan and temporary facilities plan.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce a project-specific quality assurance and quality control program.
- Perform and monitor all project control reporting measures, including daily reports, quality assurance reporting, accident and incident reports.
- Perform or manage site orientations with all subcontractors and vendors.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with CCIP program requirements, including subcontractor enrollment confirmation and site inspections.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders, and maintain accurate as-built documents.
- Oversee all layout and field engineering in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate daily construction activities within existing operating facilities.
- Develop and execute a plan for monitoring and completing punchlist items.
- Ensure that Safety Orientations occur for all subcontractors.
- Inspect the site for OSHA violations and unsafe practices and conditions.
- Assist and work closely with the Project Manager on all field-related activities.
- Implement and interpret safety programs effectively.
- Ensure adherence to company, department, and technical policies, procedures, and standards.
- Prepare and maintain all required documentation and records according to State and Federal compliance.
- Notify all subcontractors and vendors of job status and upcoming responsibilities.
- Manage and oversee all third-party inspections and on-site testing.
- Notify Architects/Engineers of required inspections.
- Conduct weekly foreman meetings focusing on safety and work procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized site and trailer/office.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management.
- Experience with new construction of assisted living or commercial buildings.
- Ability to create and manage a schedule independently.
- Proficiency in field management and construction management.
- Procore software knowledge.
- Preferred four-year degree in a construction-related curriculum or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with successful project outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling and contract administration.
- Proficient in basic computer use and functions.
- Experience with construction-related software such as Primavera, Procore, or Microsoft Office preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification.
