Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager to join our team, specializing in energy-efficiency solutions for water and wastewater industrial projects, infrastructure, and building facilities. This role requires a strong belief in conserving resources and optimizing buildings. The position is primarily located on project sites in Western and Central NY, specifically in Rochester or Utica. The Project Manager will play a vital role in a large, multi-year wastewater industrial project, with locations subject to change.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, manage, and provide leadership to the project team.
  • Adhere to safety programs, trainings, and policies while promoting and managing the Safety & Health performance of project team members and subcontractors.
  • Ensure subcontractors, vendors, and all site personnel maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations from pre-construction through project completion and warranty periods.
  • Create and manage schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Understand and manage contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist the engineering team with scope development and cost budgeting/estimating.
  • Create budgets and maintain control and accurate projections of project costs.
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager and all subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Purchase materials and equipment as needed.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget while keeping the client informed.
  • Conduct construction administration, including contracts, purchase orders, change orders, submittals, RFIs, owner training, project closeout, and as-built documentation.
  • Identify potential issues, solve problems, and escalate issues and opportunities to management as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure excellent treatment of clients and project partners.
  • Offer assistance to co-workers proactively.
  • Act as a steward of our company culture.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager in industrial Civil, Mechanical, or General Construction.
  • Knowledge of general construction processes, including industrial water processes, mechanical systems, and building systems such as electrical, HVAC, boilers, thermal systems, and controls.
  • Preferred CM or engineering degree.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $5,000,000 to $50,000,000.
  • Ability to coordinate and oversee multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings.
  • Problem-solving skills and creativity in resource use.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in anaerobic digestion, wastewater, renewable natural gas, combined heat and power, or industrial pre-treatment/treatment is preferred.

Work Environment

The majority of the work will be conducted in an office setting, though some travel to project sites may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $73.00/hr.
