Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create models, assembly drawings, detail drawings, and bills of material. This role involves spending 75% of the time on design and the remaining 25% supporting the floor for machine builds. Once familiar with the product lines, the candidate will also support customers, assist the sales department with quotations, and ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create models, assembly drawings, detail drawings, and bills of material.
  • Spend 75% of the time on design and 25% supporting the floor for machine builds.
  • Support customers once familiar with the product lines.
  • Assist the sales department with quotations to identify material and labor required for project tasks.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve any conflicts with customers published requirements.
  • Verify that designs comply with mechanical standards, building codes, local regulations, OSHA regulations, and good design practices.
  • Meet with the manufacturing department after drawings have been released but prior to the earlier stages of the build to review drawings and bills of materials.
  • Minimal travel required, 2-6 trips per year, typically 1-2 day trips.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in mechanical design and machine design.
  • Familiarity with Epicor Accounting Software and PowerPoint.
  • BS in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of design engineering experience.
  • Experience designing industrial equipment.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
