- Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create models, assembly drawings, detail drawings, and bills of material.
- Spend 75% of the time on design and 25% supporting the floor for machine builds.
- Support customers once familiar with the product lines.
- Assist the sales department with quotations to identify material and labor required for project tasks.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve any conflicts with customers published requirements.
- Verify that designs comply with mechanical standards, building codes, local regulations, OSHA regulations, and good design practices.
- Meet with the manufacturing department after drawings have been released but prior to the earlier stages of the build to review drawings and bills of materials.
- Minimal travel required, 2-6 trips per year, typically 1-2 day trips.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in mechanical design and machine design.
- Familiarity with Epicor Accounting Software and PowerPoint.
- BS in Engineering.
- 3+ years of design engineering experience.
- Experience designing industrial equipment.
