Job Description
This position involves engaging in various project phases, ranging from design to construction administration. The role includes team coordination and active client participation, contingent upon your industry experience. A successful candidate will be self-driven, capable of managing project deadlines independently, and able to thrive in team settings. Strong communication skills are essential, and the applicant should either be licensed or working toward licensure in Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all project phases, from design through construction administration.
- Coordinate effectively with project teams and actively engage with clients.
- Manage project deadlines independently and efficiently.
- Utilize Revit to produce construction documents and oversee construction administration.
- Engage in architectural design, including schematic design and design development.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience in producing construction documents using Revit.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exposure to public projects, particularly for candidates with extensive experience.
- Accredited degree in Architecture.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5-15 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Licensed Architect or on track for licensure.
Work Environment
The work environment is characterized by a family-like culture within a small firm that has experienced significant growth, offering a stable market for diverse projects. With offices in Aurora, Bloomington, and Chicago, the firm has been serving northern Illinois for over 25 years. The architecture team consists of 10-12 members, while the MEP/S Engineering team has 8-10 members. Marketing, admin, and technology are supported by a team of 5. New hires start with 100% in-office work, transitioning to 16 hours of remote work once approved by their manager. The company offers 2 weeks of accrued vacation and 9 paid holidays. The culture is social, fostering a sense of community, with most of the team preferring to work onsite.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $43.27/hr.
