- Follow health and safety protocols.
- Conduct site visits and perform environmental monitoring.
- Perform CAD drafting using AutoCAD and similar software.
- Assist with design and permitting of solid waste and electric utility facilities.
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Prepare calculations for reports and support design documents.
- Review technical documents for completeness and conformance to requirements.
- Communicate with clients for field work coordination, project updates, reporting, and meetings.
- Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations for compliance with construction documents.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- 3 months of relevant solid waste, environmental, or engineering internship, work, or research experience.
- Ability to learn AutoCAD or comparable software.
- Valid Drivers License with a driving record in good standing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong preference for individuals who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
- Experience with stormwater pollution prevention plans or spill prevention plans is highly preferred.
- Experience in hydrology, environmental science, or related fields is advantageous.
The position offers a hybrid work environment, starting 100% remote and transitioning to 2-3 days in the office. You will be based in our Orlando office, working on a smaller team, which provides exposure to various areas while being supported by a larger firm. Local fieldwork is expected 10-20% of the time, with the remainder in the office.
