We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Architect to lead the design and execution of K-12 educational projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique needs of educational environments, strong leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and documentation of K-12 school projects from concept through construction administration.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design excellence and project success.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and educational facility guidelines.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
- Participate in client presentations, community meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Licensed Architect (or on licensure track with significant progress).
- 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years focused on K-12 projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and educational design standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience with LEED, WELL, or other sustainable design certifications.
- Familiarity with state and local educational facility requirements and funding processes.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, especially in communities with diverse populations.
