Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Foreman to ensure that our projects go as planned on site. The Foreman will oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role requires a strong understanding of various construction processes, excellent leadership abilities, and proficiency in the roofing trade.
Roof repairs and maintenance are also a small part of the job. This work fits in between managing the re-roof projects.
Reports to: General Manager (Rich Wright)
Qualifications/Requirements:
Drivers license with an acceptable driving record
Must be able to tow trailers with heavy weight
Roofing safety knowledge as required by OSHA
Supervisory experience preferred
Desire and willingness to work as a team with co-workers, vendors, and sub-contractors
Able to lift 75+ lbs safely and handle roofing materials
Continually seek to improve the overall roofing functions
5+ years roofing experience
Working knowledge of roofing tools (air compressors, leisters, pneumatic tools, etc.)
Have roofing knowledge and skill set to perform roofing in steep slope (composition
shingles and wood shakes) and low slope (TPO, PVC, Self-adhered membranes, Torch
down)
Must have skill set to install ventilation intake or exhaust (i.e. smart vent, powered vent,
etc.)
Self-starter and able to work with little direction
Excellent communication skills with crew members as well as homeowners/customers.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Drop off and pick up trailers with/ without roofing debris
Empty trailers at the dump when required
Inspection of full roofing jobs done by subcontractors, including photos of the jobs and a
list of repairs, if required
Ensure overall quality control on all roofing jobs assigned
Successfully communicate with sub-contractors any repairs that are required after job
completion and inspection
Document information and upload photos into the internal CRM system
Keep all receipts and turn them in to the office manager, daily, if possible
Handle the company property with care, including, but not limited to, tools, ladders,
equipment, phone, computer or Ipad, and any other material purchased or acquired by
HER Roofing Co., Inc
Supervise and manage anyone on the roof with you while performing repairs or
maintenance
Order, pick-up, and seek materials when necessary
Maintain record of stock material and keep an accurate log on what is used on a job in the
companys CRM system
Handle and secure company credit cards and financial information with care
Attend required safety, product, and any other
training or meeting the company sets
Abide by OSHA safety standards on any job for you and your helper or roof technician.
As the foreman, you are required to ensure safety for you and with anyone on the roof
with you.
Take truck or trailer to auto/trailer shop when necessary to maintain the vehicles
performance
Work in a professional manner to customers, potential customers, vendors, co-workers,
sub-contractors, or anyone while working, wearing, or driving company logod vehicles
or apparel.
Maintaining an acceptable driving record and obeying traffic laws, without any traffic
incidents (i.e. road rage)
No side jobs, unless specifically given permission by the president of the company
