Job Summary:

As the Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our production equipment, building, and grounds. You will be responsible for purchasing related materials and services, and making ongoing recommendations to optimize equipment maintenance, production processes, and plant layout. You will lead the supervision of preventative and related maintenance activities, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency. Additionally, you will coordinate workflow seamlessly with outside vendors, engineering teams, and maintenance projects.

Job Details:

  • Location: Shawano WI (relocation assistance available)

  • 3 Day Work Week: 7:00AM to 7:00PM Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays

  • 16 Week Training : In addition to the 3-day work week schedule, the 16 week training schedule includes one additional 8-hour shift on Mondays or Thursdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Inventory and Equipment: Ensure the flow of materials and components, maintaining adequate inventory for production equipment. Investigate and recommend corrective actions for equipment issues.

  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of production equipment, building, and grounds, and manage the purchase of related materials and services.

  • Efficiency Improvements: Recommend new equipment or processes to enhance production efficiency and improve plant layout, facilitating equipment movement.

  • Training and Safety: Ensure all employees are trained on equipment and safety procedures, adhering to Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports for management as required and maintain confidential data such as employee records.

  • Judgment and Adaptability: Exercise considerable judgment to maintain, repair, and modify production equipment within established policies. Stay current on changes and developments in related fields.

  • Tools and Equipment Usage: Utilize personal computers, common office equipment, hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and fabrication equipment.

What You Will Need:

  • Associates Degree in STEM discipline or equivalent years of experience

  • Three plus years electromechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience of a maintenance team.

  • Thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field, such as maintenance technology.

  • Solid blueprint & schematic reading skills.

  • Understanding of machine repair/rebuild, hydraulic, welding, fabricating & pipe fitting skills.

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated skills in leading and participating in cross functional teams.

  • Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: including Word and Excel.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in STEM discipline

  • Foundry or metals industry experience

  • CMMS or ERP system experience on work order and inventory management.

  • CMRP Certification.

  • Experience supervising a maintenance department and overseeing departmental costs.

  • Formal team and leadership training with demonstrated success.

  • Knowledge or maintaining part inventory and work orders.

  • Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Office products.
