Estimator I

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator I to support our Estimating team in preparing pricing estimates and aiding job conversions. This entry-level role involves performing routine tasks under general supervision and following established procedures. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of print estimating and strong attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a variety of routine duties to support the Estimating department.
• Support team of Estimators and help coordinate projects.
• Work closely with production staff and project managers to assure accuracy of cost estimates.
• Enter estimates and jobs into company software program.
• Work closely with Estimating employees to learn various aspects of print industry, estimating, job entry, purchasing, and project planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with the print industry preferred.
• Four-year college degree preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is predominantly held in a clerical environment but may also need to work on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
