Job Description
A busy local underground utility contractor is looking for a qualified Working Foreman. Must have experience working on construction sites, have a clean driving record, and be knowledgeable of OSHA safety standards and procedures, along with the following experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare Look-Ahead schedule weekly & submit to PM.
Prepare daily report of all activities, workers, inspections, etc.
Meet Project Goals for Crew man hours & equipment hours.
Turn In Timecards & Quantities Daily and Equipment Sheets Weekly.
Review Production Labor & Equipment Hours With Crew Leaders
Hold weekly safety Tool Box meeting with Crew.
Communicate In Advance with Superintendent Of Job Needs - Materials, Equipment & Manpower & Don't Hoard Equipment
Maintain Positive Work Environment and Team Player Attitude
Weekly Trailer Inventory - Tools, Supplies, Etc. for Future Work
Hold Daily Crew Huddle-Up @ 7:00am on job & Start Work By 7:15am / 30 Min Lunch Max/No Cell Phones
Inspect & maintain quality workmanship per standards & contract documents
Perform Equipment Pre-Start Checklist/Walk Around Inspection & Then Turn On All Equip @ 7am
Report Utility Hits Immediately To Safety Manager
Keep Equipment Clean & Maintained Daily
Get OT Approval past 5pm by Superintendent In Advance
Update As-Builts Daily & Turn In At job Completion to PM
Maintain Approved set of Plans onsite
Enforce Company Standards, Policies & Rules with Crew
Enforce Co. Standard Attire - Hats, Sleeves, Boots, Glasses, etc. with Crew
Train & Mentor Crew to move up to lead / assistant foreman
Install all work per company Standards, Systems & Procedures
Verify all locates prior to working
Attend all Company Field Foreman meetings
Report all Crew Injuries & Site Accidents immediately and within 24 hours of incident to HR
Learn / Responsible to utilize Tablets / Ipads - Timecards, Tracking, Photos, WOs, Plans, Files, etc.
Never Go To Supply House Or Store To Buy Or Pickup Materials
Sign T & M and Material Delivery Tickets Daily & Note Job # / WO # / Description Or Cost Code Of What Each Item Is
Supervise and maintain a clean and safe project, work site and accident free project.
Trained in Gas Safety
OSHA 30 Safety Training (or willingness to receive)
Qualifications and Experience
Required: Minimum of 3 years overseeing the jobsite operations of a 5+ person crew.
Backhoe and horizontal drill experience around utilities.
Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
Hard working, strong work ethic.
Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and contractors.
Strong organization, people, and time management skills.
Able to lead jobs and laborers safely and timely.
Detail-oriented quality and precision focused.
Competitive and growth oriented.
Team Oriented cooperative and collaborative.
Required: Successful candidates must pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: drug screen and background check. Background checks include, but are not limited to, Social Security Verification, Prior Employment Verification, Motor Vehicle Records, Personal and Professional References, Criminal History.
