The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking a Junior Preventive Maintenance Electrical Technician who is responsible for assisting with the routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and components to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role supports senior technicians in performing diagnostic evaluations and executing corrective actions. The technician also plays a vital part in maintaining accurate records, complying with safety standards, and engaging in continuous learning to develop technical skills in electrical maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems, including cleaning, lubrication, and component replacement, under supervision.

  • Assist with routine inspections of electrical circuits, wiring, equipment, and lighting systems to identify signs of wear, damage, or potential failure.

  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts for minor electrical issues.

  • Help repair or replace electrical components such as outlets, switches, wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.

  • Assist with the calibration of electrical instruments and equipment to maintain operational accuracy.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspection results, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.

  • Adhere strictly to electrical safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and other team members to complete tasks efficiently.

  • Participate in job-related training, workshops, and development programs to build knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance best practices.

  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in safe, operational condition.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of a formal automotive maintenance or repair training program.

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing automotive equipment such as cars, motorcycles, trucks, forklifts, or buses.

  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools (e.g., motor analyzers, pressure gauges) and repair manuals.

  • Demonstrated ability to inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, and repair complex automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.

  • Familiarity with cooling systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and general preventive maintenance practices.

  • Understanding safety assurance and quality control procedures in vehicle maintenance.

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and follow standard operating procedures.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with team members on shared tasks and projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent professional accreditation.

  • 4+ years of experience working on mixed-fleet vehicles in a commercial, industrial, or government environment.

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

  • Advanced troubleshooting and failure analysis skills.

  • Knowledge of energy-efficient vehicle systems and sustainability practices.

  • Familiarity with project management or experience leading maintenance tasks or teams.

  • Proven experience in conducting detailed vehicle inspections and preparing compliance documentation.

  • Working knowledge of technical documentation development and interpretation.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and upholding safety standards in all work environments.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
