Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Preventive Maintenance Electrical Technician to lead and execute preventive maintenance programs for a wide range of electrical systems and equipment. This hands-on role requires deep technical knowledge, advanced diagnostic skills, and a proactive approach to system upkeep. The ideal candidate will have experience with power distribution systems, motor control centers, circuit protection, and building automation systems, ensuring operational reliability and minimizing unplanned downtime.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of preventive maintenance activities on electrical systems and equipment.
Inspect, test, and maintain electrical components such as wiring, circuits, panels, switchgear, lighting systems, and transformers.
Perform advanced diagnostics including electrical load testing, insulation resistance testing, and system performance analysis.
Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement corrective actions to ensure reliable system performance.
Maintain and service electrical equipment such as motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), power distribution units (PDUs), and motor control centers (MCCs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, HVAC, and facilities staff to support integrated maintenance operations.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Ensure all maintenance work aligns with local electrical codes, industry regulations, and internal safety protocols.
Monitor the condition of critical infrastructure and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
Basic Qualifications
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
Completion of a formal training program in automotive technology or a related field.
Proficient in the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of a variety of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as motor analyzers, pressure gauges, and factory manuals.
Capable of using standard automotive hand and power tools for disassembly, overhaul, and part replacement.
Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and chassis charts.
Experience performing preventive and routine maintenance, vehicle inspections, and safety checks.
Preferred Qualifications
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent professional accreditation.
Vocational or technical certification in automotive mechanics, diesel technology, or a related specialty.
Experience with a wide range of vehicles, including light-duty, heavy-duty, motorcycles, and buses.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in automotive applications.
Experience in energy-efficient repair practices and sustainability-focused maintenance strategies.
Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills to resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Ability to mentor or provide guidance to junior technicians and support staff.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or fleet management software.
Knowledge of safety assurance practices and compliance with OSHA or DOT regulations.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
