The Economic Development & Tourism Office of Rockingham County is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated. Assistant Project Manager provides essential support in advancing economic development projects and outreach efforts. This position works with the Economic Development team in managing key projects, coordinating outreach with local businesses, and implementing economic development and tourism strategies that promote business growth and increase the tax base for the county. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with the Director of Economic Development to ensure smooth execution of initiatives that foster economic vitality.

Physical Requirements:

Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in economic development, project management, business outreach, event planning, community outreach, grant writing, managing public or private funds, or a related field.
License or Certification Requirements: None
This position may require driving for this position whether driving a County owned or personal vehicle to conduct county business such as but not limited to attending conferences, meetings, or any other county related functions. Motor Vehicle Reports may be verified for valid driver's license and that the driving record is compatible with the county's driving criteria. If a personal vehicle is operated for county business proper insurance is maintained as per Rockingham County's vehicle use policy.
