- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high-quality results within established budgets and deadlines.
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams through all phases of project delivery-including planning, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration-primarily for federal and state agency clients.
- Serve as the primary client interface, overseeing project execution to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and performance expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Direct and coordinate site investigations, facility assessments, and existing condition surveys to inform design decisions and ensure constructability.
- Facilitate internal design coordination meetings, stakeholder engagement sessions, and client presentations, including delivery of technical content and project updates to senior leadership.
- Oversee the preparation and quality control of design deliverables-drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages-ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and federal standards (e.g., UFC, VA TIL, IBC, NFPA).
- Collaborate with internal staff and external consultants to develop cohesive, innovative, and technically sound design solutions.
- Lead QA/QC reviews of construction documents and ensure rigorous application of firm-wide quality assurance protocols across all submittals.
