Job Description:
The eCommerce Microservices Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable, modular microservices architectures for modern eCommerce platforms. This role is critical in transforming legacy systems into agile, service-oriented ecosystems that enhance performance, maintainability, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Strategy: Define and evolve the microservices architecture strategy tailored for eCommerce platforms.
- Solution Design: Decompose monolithic applications into independently deployable microservices with robust API contracts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure architectural alignment and delivery excellence.
- Performance & Scalability: Optimize service performance and reliability using observability tools and performance benchmarks.
- Governance & Standards: Establish best practices for service design, API management, security, and CI/CD.
- Mentorship: Guide teams in adopting microservices principles and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience architecting microservices in large-scale eCommerce transformation programs.
- Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Kafka, API Getaway & Management and cloud-native development (Azure).
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, or .NET Core.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms including SAP Hybris, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, WCS (WebSphere Commerce Suite), and ATG (Oracle Commerce).
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
