  • Due to being an inplant position, the below referenced job duties have been provided by the client:

Job Description:

o Technical: Coordinate all activities related to the FEL and FEED of assigned capital projects, including process conditions gathering and validation of input data and project design basis with asset owner/operation team.

o Lead: Technical Procurement and direct 3rd party engineering service suppliers to complete the development of capital projects (up to FID gate approval). Ensure time and cost of engineering respect contract upon award.

o Financial: Responsible for cost and schedule control of assigned projects, support procurement through call for tender and evaluate technical offers (TBT), revise change orders and submit to Project Supt for decision.

o Personnel: Project Team Leader coordinating in-house personnel (for multi-discipline projects) and external engineering service suppliers. Has no direct report.

o Deliver/Produce: Project Design Basis, Statement Of Requirements, Scope of Work, FID request, Handover to EPC.

o Others: report progress of project portfolio. Support EPC's Project Eng. should questions arise in EPC and start-up.

Qualification:

o BS in Engineering, with 10+ year experience on small brownfield projects up to 10 M$ TIC (Total Installed Cost).

o Previous roles include: Senior/Principal Project Engineer (Process, Mechanical Discipline), Discipline Leader and most recently Team Leader or Project Manager of FEL/FEED phase. Experience in Refining and Petrochemical projects.

o Fluent on Project Gated Process, Cost estimation, Deliverables applicability depending on FEL phase and Project Cost.

o Competent to gather process data from field and DCS/Scada, to perform basic process-mechanical-I&E sizing of major equipment and especially understand key input required by disciplines specialist for sizing and generating deliverables.

o Develop PFDs & P&IDs (redline mark-up), describe process/operation philosophy and principles of controls.

o Able to participate/support HAZOP of project in FEED, and able to translate in project scope resolution of HAZOP gaps.

o Able to review SIF, C&E matrix, Datasheets. Identify, comment/mark-up modifications by a project on the existent one.

o Able to perform field walk of process units, including locations accessible by ladder.

o Workplace policies: Location - TTE Port Arthur Refinery offices of the Capital Projects Group. Load - 40 hours/week allocated to up to 5 simultaneous projects. Schedule: per site policy, could be Regular (Monday-Friday), 9/80 or 4/10. Telecommute: at Supv. discretion 3-month upon start, 1 day per week only with regular and 9/80 schedule. HSSE: Must obtain ISTC security clearance and complete TotalEnergies HSSE training.

Requirements

Summary of Description:This position is responsible for managing engineering related projects. Project Managers will also be responsible for ensuring projects are completed and meet the defined requirements/budgets.

Duties:

  • Work with clients to define business requirements for projects.
  • Development of detailed work scopes that align with the clients' needs.
  • Development of detailed control budgets to meet scope of work.
  • Development of project timelines to meet work scope and client requirements.
  • Management of assigned resources to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers to acquire equipment and technology.
  • Maintain proper project documentation.
  • Promote professionalism throughout the workplace.
  • Promote safety on assigned projects.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited University with at least eleven (11) years of experience in industrial work including but not limited to refinery, petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline or utility industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

License Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License as par State law or requirement
  • Professional license preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
  • Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
  • Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
  • Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
  • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
  • Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
