POSITION SUMMARYThe Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations to ensure assigned projects are completed on time and within budget. This role includes direct supervision of Leadmen, Project Engineers, subcontractors, craft workers, and other field personnel. The Superintendent must be a confident leader and effective communicator who promotes collaboration, enforces job site safety, and drives innovation throughout the construction process.This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, and mentor team members for continued growth and success. Strong organizational skills, time management, and client service abilities are essential.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and oversee daily field operations, including construction mentions, labor needs, material requirements, equipment use, temporary power sources, and scheduling.

Supervise and support Leadman and personnel in executing field activities.Coordinate work across trades, departments, and external contractors to ensure progress and efficiency.Maintain regular communication with Project Manager, Architect, and Design/Build team to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, codes, and timelines.Identify and resolve job site challenges related to projectivity, coordination, or workflow.Ensure strict compliance with project safety requirements and regulations; document incidents and ensure timely corrective action.Represent DVCC professionally in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.Review budgets, drawings, schedules, submittals, and specifications to ensure project adherence and quality.Maintain a clean, organized job site and ensure proper care of DVCC-owned equipment (trucks-trailers, tools, etc.)Uphold DVCC's standards for professionalism, appearance, and site presentation.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS10 + years' work experienceBachelor's in construction management a plusOSHA 30-Hour or willingness to obtain.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Proven experience leading construction projects valued at $5 million or more.Strong knowledge of construction and/or industrial safety standards and the ability to enforce compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, blueprints, floorplans, correspondence, and technical documents.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing field operations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through to completion.Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and project management principles.Ability to recognize and respond to potential hazards and ensure proper safety practices are followed.Willingness to attend continuing education and professional development seminars.
