Operations Manager

Contracting company in the Wilmington, NC area is hiring an Operations Manager to lead and oversee da-to-day operations. Responsibilities include:

- Manage and oversee all aspects of field operations, ensuring project execution aligns with plans, schedules, and specifications

- Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents to allocate labor, equipment, and materials effectively

- Supervise field teams and foremen, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence

- Monitor job costing, labor productivity, and equipment utilization to control expenses and drive efficiency

- Assist in procurement planning and vendor/subcontractor coordination

- Review and approve project-related expenditures and change orders

- Develop and manage construction schedules in collaboration with project management

Job Requirements

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

- 10+ years of experience in civil construction or heavy infrastructure operations management

- Strong understanding of civil construction practices
