As a Senior Project Manager - Land Development, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Tighe & Bond's portfolio in eastern Massachusetts. In this leadership position, you will spearhead project management efforts, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and nurture client relationships to deliver exceptional land development solutions for both public and private sector projects.

Nearly 120 professional engineers, strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients.We assist clients from the initial conceptual stages of a project through schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents, bidding, and construction oversight.Well versed in local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements, as well as ever evolving climate change impacts and concerns, we strive to incorporate sustainability and resiliency into our site plans and designs.

What You Will Be Doing:

Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand Tighe & Bond's footprint in eastern Massachusetts. Identify potential projects, cultivate client relationships, and actively pursue new business opportunities in the public and private sectors.

Lead the response to requests for proposals (RFPs), preparing tailored project approaches, scopes, and fee estimates. Develop comprehensive project plans, allocate resources, and establish project timelines to ensure successful project delivery.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding project teams in the design and implementation of land development projects. Oversee site design, civil engineering, and environmental permitting, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage complex environmental and land use permitting processes, including MEPA, Article 80, and other regulatory frameworks. Coordinate with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and clients to secure necessary permits and approvals.

Mentor junior and mid-level staff members, providing guidance in project management, technical design, and client service. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages professional development and technical excellence.

Contribute to the strategic direction of Tighe & Bond's land development practice, identifying market trends, emerging opportunities, and innovative solutions to drive business growth in New England.

What You Need to Succeed as a Senior Project Manager - Land Development:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or AICP certification.

Minimum of 20 years of experience in civil/site design, land development, or planning, with a proven track record of managing public and private sector projects in eastern Massachusetts.

Extensive experience in site design, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance, including MEPA and Article 80.

Strong client development and relationship management skills, with the ability to identify client needs, propose solutions, and secure new business.

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex project information clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage budgets, and ensure project delivery within established timelines and client expectations.

Proven experience mentoring junior and mid-level staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Experience in preparing technical proposals, fee estimates, and project bids to win new projects and expand client portfolios.
