Work for a manufacture in Middlesex County as a Quality Assurance Engineer:
The Quality Assurance Engineer assists in developing and implementing company and regulatory quality standards in the manufacturing facility and conducts activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Audits and reviews quality data according to existing documents and procedures.
Investigates and resolves supplier quality and work-in-process issues to meet customer demand and required schedule commitments. Audits vendor processes and capabilities to ensure incoming product quality meets the companies standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creation, review, and management of policies, procedures, forms, and work instructions for an aerospace Quality Management System that ensure compliance with international standards, regulatory requirements, and customer flow downs.
* Identification, monitoring and reporting of performance and quality metrics including data capture and analysis, presentation, and reporting.
* Serve as resource on quality and regulatory issues researching responses as needed for all levels of the organization.
* Monitor and track non conformances in materials and product, provide analysis and assist as required in obtaining root cause, corrective action, and disposition of non-conforming material.
* Primary Interface for audit activity throughout the facility. Schedule, guide, and support audit activity including access to required areas and support of quality system questions. Act as interface between employees and auditors when necessary. Manage audit activity on regular basis.
* Perform and document internal audits including conformance to international standards and Performance Effectiveness Assessments.
* Partner with subject matter experts and process owners to identify processes and document best practices.
* Investigate and analyze quality problems, recommend solutions, and ensure implementation of corrections.
* Maintain supplier quality records and approvals. Interface with suppliers as required to address supplier audit activity, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
* Identify, research, and prepare background information regarding production, operations, and purchasing history as requested to support RCCA investigations, process improvement activities, audits, development projects, and other activities as required.
* Manage and maintain departmental records in accordance with defined requirements.
* Participate in process improvement/continuous improvement activities as requested.
* Develop and deliver training materials as necessary quality systems.
* Provide backup and support to other quality functions including final inspection, receiving inspection and calibration.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Strong customer service skills in working with both internal and external customers.
* Strong writing skills and ability to clearly communicate with various levels without and outside the organization.
* Knowledge of or ability to learn the companies activities, processes, and document systems including those in other operational areas.
* Previous experience as an FAA Designee (DMIR) or ability to obtain designation preferred.
* Knowledge of export compliance regulations preferred.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have a background which includes the following demonstrable experience, skills, and education:
* Bachelor"s degree or equivalent experience
* 7-10 years of experience in Quality Function
* 2+ years" experience with Aerospace quality and regulatory requirements
* Military/Aerospace experience is a plus.
* Expert Knowledge of and ability to interpret FAA Quality requirements.
* Expert Knowledge of and ability to interpret International/National Standards, e.g., AS9100, AS, ARP, and NAS standards.
* Ability to read and understand technical and regulatory documentation, including, not limited to, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
* Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Suite.
* Knowledge of or ability to learn ERP System Software (Epicor).
