Survey Technician Overview: Join our team and be the mastermind behind transforming surveys into precise digital maps using AutoCAD Civil3D or Carlson software. Blend desk-bound expertise with occasional fieldwork to ensure accuracy and safety in our projects. Your role isn't just about technical prowess; it's about shaping the landscape responsibly and ensuring the well-being of all. Survey Technician Pay Range: $25-$40/hr Paid WEEKLY Survey Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Research previous survey evidence, drawings, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control. Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. Coordinates findings with work of engineering personnel, customers, and others concerned with the project. The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required. Survey Technician Qualifications: Have a sound understanding of Optical Survey Equipment (i.e. Total Stations, Theodolites and Auto Levels) for the applications of civil verifications, structural installation and alignment, mechanical installation, and alignment as well as experience of establishing work points, datums, benchmarks, elevations, and control monuments. Possess the ability to trouble shoot and come up with solutions on the job to keep the work moving forward. Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred. Must be willing to travel and provide hand tools as required for the job. Survey Technician Physical Demands: Must have the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally. Surveyor Helper Pay Range: $20-$30/hour Paid WEEKLY Surveyor Helper Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Help gather and research previous survey evidence, drawings, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. May assist in keeping field notes and performing sketches as necessary to describe and certify work performed. Set up survey instruments, backsights, etc. Learn how to perform the duties of a surveyor for the company and strive to be a stand-alone surveyor. The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required. Surveyor Helper Qualifications: Should possess good math skills, understand how to read a standard tape measure and have an understanding of basic hand tools (wrench, hammer, level, etc.) Any technical training such as computers, machinist, and or/or industrial technology is a plus. Must be willing to travel and provide hand tools as required for the job. Surveyor Helper Physical Demands: Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently, possess the ability to work at heights if required, be ability to work in extreme environments and be able to adapt to different situations as required. Excellent vision or correctable vision. Requires a large amount of walking on the job site. This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
