For over 30 years EMH Environmental, Inc. has been a General Contractor engaged in water and wastewater treatment projects for various municipalities in and around the Washington DC and Baltimore areas. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. As a Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, owner representatives and inspectors to coordinate all aspects of the construction process. This includes scheduling, resource allocation, safety management, and compliance with project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the water/wastewater construction industry, exceptional leadership qualities, and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders. We are looking for someone who is proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of navigating challenges that may arise during the construction process. Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations on construction sites to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and labor forces to maintain project timelines and quality standards.Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met within the designated timeframes.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with safety regulations and quality control practices.Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between project stakeholders including clients, project managers, and subcontractors.Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures remain within the allotted financial guidelines.Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.In-depth knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and safety standards.Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully managing teams and projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.Financial judgement to manage budgets and control costs associated with project operations.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.Company DescriptionEMH Environmental, Inc. has been a leading force in Environmental Services and Custom Modular Buildings since its origin in 1990.
