2nd Shift - MIG Welder Job Description Join our dynamic team as a MIG Welder, specializing in the production of stainless steel tanks for the dairy industry. This role requires expertise in welding, grinding, and fabrication, with a primary focus on MIG welding. You'll also have the opportunity to get certified in TIG welding in-house. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum for tank production in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, custom fabricate or grind material to meet technical requirements. Control the processes of fitting, burning, and welding to prevent overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage of parts. Read and interpret basic prints and drawings. Problem-solve fabrication tasks and perform overhead welding. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in MIG welding. Proficient in welding stainless steel and aluminum. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Problem-solving skills in fabrication tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding. Ability to set up and weld metals unsupervised. Efficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving during tank production. Ability to train others. Why Work Here? The 2nd shift runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, with voluntary overtime available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
