Heavy Civil Estimator ???? Western Pennsylvania ???? Full-Time | Base Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience) A well-established and growing heavy/industrial contractor is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator to support operations in the Western Pennsylvania region. This role involves developing competitive proposals through accurate cost estimates for general conditions, self-performed work, and subcontracted work. You'll contribute to impactful projects while being part of a company known for its integrity, excellence, and commitment to its people. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil construction projects Analyze RFPs, drawings, and specifications to develop project scope understanding Quantify work scopes and assist in developing General Conditions Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure complete, accurate bids Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate project conditions Communicate with subcontractors and vendors for pricing and clarification Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management, or a technical degree with 5+ years of relevant field and estimating experience Proven heavy civil estimating experience with a focus on earthwork take-offs and self-perform work Proficient in interpreting plans, specifications, and construction documents Preferred software experience: Carlson, HCSS, and Bluebeam Willingness to work in both office and field settings, with travel or relocation as needed Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills About the Company: This contractor is consistently recognized as a top performer in the Mid-Atlantic region and has delivered landmark projects across multiple sectors including healthcare, education, energy, petrochemical, and government.
