An established chemical manufacturer is seeking a Contract Project Engineer (Mechanical) for an onsite role in Plaquemine, LA. This is an immediate opportunity to support capital projects in a high-impact, fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and support capital projects from design through startup
Conduct stress analysis and pipe sizing calculations
Prepare and re process design packages (PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and deliver projects
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Safety teams
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
5 years of experience in industrial or chemical plant environments
Strong background in stress analysis, piping design, and process equipment
Familiarity with industry codes and standards
Available for an ASAP start and comfortable working 100% onsite
