Project and Construction Planner

Insight Global is looking for a Project and Construction Planner for an Energy client in downtown Houston. This individual will report into the Sr. Director of Construction Estimating/Scheduling and will be supporting the construction group. They will be responsible for preparing construction plans for multiple energy related projects including new builds, demos, retrofits, and upgrades. This role will be involved in the scheduling, permitting, estimating, environmental obligations, etc. for these projects. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to building and reviewing project schedules, resource loading, and reviewing and validating project milestone data. They will also be involved in project estimating and may assist in building cost around the work breakdown structure. This individual will be required to interact with project team members, contractors and stakeholders to ensure project construction plans transform effectively into project ready baselines and execution plans. This position has a hybrid schedule - onsite Tuesday - Thursday. Some day travel to the local plants may be required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or Business or relevant experience in lieu of degree 10 years of relevant experience Experience in the Power industry - gas, coal, etc Proficient in Primavera P6 - experience building schedules and resource loading Proficient in Microsoft Office - pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and ad hoc projects in Excel Plusses Renewables experience Field experience in a relative industry is highly preferred Understanding of Project Estimating
