CAD Designer

Volt is immediately hiring a CAD Designer in The Woodlands, TX with a well-known industry leader. You need to be available right away as this is a quick 2-3 mth assignment, local candidates only.In this role you will assist in providing quality Projects from engineering sketches for internal use and to be issued to the client. This is a first shift position As a CAD Designer you will:Assist in providing mechanical design and detail drawings required for use in shop fabrication as directed by supervisorGather information required for design & draftingAdhere to Document Management System for drawing numbering, editing and issuing3D modeling of equipmentUse of AutoCAD softwarePrepare detailed shop fabrication drawings Estimated Duration: 2-3 mths. The ideal candidate will have:Working knowledge of AutoCADWorking knowledge of fabrication drawing layoutsWorking knowledge of applicable codes and standardsKnowledge of SmartPlant P&ID and SmartPlant (preferred)Knowledge of Inventor a plusEducation and/or Experience:An Associate Degree, or 2 years of college coursework (or 5 years job related experience)3-5 years related experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Pay Rate: $ 47.00 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
